The Vision: A Columbus where young, professional, female artists are co-creators with an equal say in the future of our city.
She Creates Columbus (SCC) is a pilot program of Wild Goose Creative to bring mentorship and career development to the next generation of creative women leaders in Columbus. Funded in partnership by the Create Columbus Commission, SCC will connect these women with resources, mentors in the arts and entrepreneurial communities in Columbus, community grant funders and audiences to foster business growth. Additionally, SCC will create a community where participants can come together to vent frustrations, find solutions, learn skills, develop strategies, and acquire resources from one another as well as the Columbus community. This female-centered space for development and action starts and ends with the priorities that the cohort brings into the room. Participants will be matched with a mentor that will work with them and learn with them during the 6 month program (March 2018- August 2018). Workshops will be held once per month and participants will leave with a plan of action to execute their vision for their creative future in Columbus, as well as the opportunity to present their business plan and/or creative project at the Wild Goose She Creates Columbus Open House.
