PATRICK ROEHRENBECK, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Patrick often says, “I’m not an artist, but I love the arts.” He has spent his career supporting artists and is dedicated to fostering growth in the organizations that support them.
Patrick is a native of Columbus and has been working in the non-profit sector for more than 17 years. He came to us after serving as the Executive Director of Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus. His volunteer experience in the arts is extensive and includes work as an Arts Day Committee Member for Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation and as Membership Co-Chair for Columbus Arts Marketing Association.
Lydia Simon, OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
Before joining Wild Goose Creative as Operations Coordinator in 2017, Lydia completed her Bachelor's in Arts Management from Ohio State University and Master's degree in Advanced Chinese Language and Culture at Peking University.
Lydia has worked for internationally recognized galleries and museums in America and China, as well as completed two years of extensive research regarding cultural policy in Beijing.
Our Board of Directors advocate for art in Columbus and guide the organization with their talents, time and pocketbooks.
Heather Lynn Kyle, President
Heather Lynn Kyle is a graduate of Columbus College of Art and Design, with experience in galleries, non-profit and marketing. She is currently the Design Director for the Employee Experience team at JPMorgan Chase. Heather, a painter and performance artist, is the founder of Performance Art Day and has been spearheading Wild Art Columbus, our biannual fundraiser, for the past few years.
Alexis Perrone, Vice President
Alexis Perrone is the Senior Visitor Service Manager for Experience Columbus. Previously she has been the marketing manager for Outlook Media and Columbus Alive. Alexis is the secretary for the Board of Directors for Independents’ Day. Additionally, she is the creator of the Four Horsewomen of the Apocalypse storytelling series and the co-conspirator of the Moby Dick in a Month literary event. She believes in the limitless potential for awesome that you can achieve in this city.
Kris Howell, Treasurer, Financial vision chair
Kris Howell is the CXO of Columbus Idea Foundry. He holds a B.A. in English and Political Science from Miami University of Ohio with an additional focus on poetry, philosophy, and etymology. His past work includes Facilities Manager at CoverMyMeds and contributing to the development of 400 W. Rich and Strongwater Food and Spirits. He was led to the neighborhood as the co-owner of ThoughtCo, a screenprinting and design company that focused on public interaction and artist collaboration.
Doug Craven, Secretary
Douglas Craven has a passion for small business, creative entrepreneurs, and community development. Most recently he joined Geben Communications, a PR firm that helps emerging brands and forward-thinking, established companies excel in a social world. Previously, he spent 6 years with ECDI in various roles including Director of Marketing and Corporate Advancement. Originally from New Jersey, Douglas relocated to Columbus for Masters and Doctoral Programs at The Ohio State University.
Jessie Glover Boettcher, co-founder
Jessie is a collaborative artist, crafter, teacher, and theatre scholar who loves Columbus and the people who make art at Wild Goose Creative. In addition to her roles on the Board of Directors, she co-curates the gallery series and works with community members to develop programs. Jessie holds a Ph.D. in Theatre History from the University of Minnesota and teaches courses in theatre and community-based artmaking at Otterbein University and The Ohio State University. She also works with groups, using theatre tools to facilitate dialogue and new work development.
Graham Fisher, Marketing Co-chair
A graduate of Columbus College of Art & Design, Graham Fisher serves as Partner & Creative Director at CivitasNow, an experiential activation firm in Columbus, Ohio. He’s a strong advocate for the arts and an avid art collector. He sits on the Pizzuti Pacesetters Steering Committee and his work has been locally and nationally recognized, including a One Show Pencil and a National Addy award.
Amanda Page, flyover libary, director
Amanda Page is an Assistant Professor of writing and humanities at Mount Carmel College of Nursing. She writes extensively about the role place serves in our lives, and is currently editing an anthology about Columbus, Ohio for Belt Publishing. Her essays and interviews have appeared in a wide range of publications, including Assay Journal, Animal Wellness, and The Billfold.com. She earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of Alabama, and holds a Bachelor of Specialized Studies in Writing & Women’s History from Ohio University. For Wild Goose Creative, she serves on the development committee and directs the developing Flyover Library.
Jessie crawford, Development Chair
Jessie received her Master’s Degree in Arts Policy and Administration from The Ohio State University in 2016. Currently, she is the Assistant Director for Alumni and Constituent Engagement for The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She is also the author of the blog Creativity in the City. She is a pianist, lifelong lover of the arts, and a passionate advocate for arts education and access to the arts for all members of the community.
Michael J. Morris, Performance art day
Michael J. Morris is choreographer, performer, writer, yoga teacher, and Visiting Assistant Professor at Denison University where they teach in the Department of Dance, Queer Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies. Michael’s writing has been published in The Oxford Handbook of Dance and Theater and a number of academic journals, and they regularly present research at conferences in dance and performance studies, queer studies, and transgender communities. Michael holds a PhD in Dance Studies from The Ohio State University.
Sam Nawrath, Curation Chair
Samantha Nawrath is a visual artist and student of the History of Art & Visual Culture program at Columbus College of Art & Design, with concentrations in curation and printmaking.
Loke Xun, Financial Vision
Loke Shao Xun is a driven business professional and pathblazer. He is working on PatronArt.com, an online art marketplace that helps independent artists sell their artwork and services. Via this vehicle, he hopes to bring the global art ecosystem into the 21st century. His mission is to create value for society by promoting fine art and to provide an avenue for art practitioners to live with dignity. Loke believes in sincere interactions, and that the hard times naturally herald the good. His family is based in Singapore and London, and he lives and works in Columbus Ohio on an E2 Treaty Investor Visa.
Johanna St. John, Marketing Co-chair
Johanna St. John is a musician, lover of culture, and a lifelong student of the arts. She has worked on programming, marketing, operational, development, and grant-writing projects with several organizations including Wild Goose Creative, the McConnell Arts Center, Chamber Music Columbus, and the Brevard Music Center, an internationally recognized summer classical music festival in North Carolina. She has focused on Music Performance in saxophone as well as Arts Entrepreneurship during her Baccalaureate studies at the Ohio State University.
Barbara Allen, Hospitality
Barbara Allen is the Co-Founder of Columbus Unscripted, Director of The Columbus Improv Festival, founding member of Sassy Do! Improv, and Stand Up for Stand Up and Co-Director of Educational Initiatives. She celebrates the practical applications between improvisation and leadership working most recently with The Columbus Blue Jackets, The Child Development Council of Franklin County, The Praxis Communities of Southern Ohio, The Theatre Roundtable of Columbus, The State of Ohio Training Association (SOTA), The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), The United Way of Central Ohio Neighborhood Leadership Academy, Ohio Dominican University and The Ohio State University.
Carl McKinney, Marketing & Development
Carl McKinney is a visual artist based out of Columbus, Ohio. He spends most of his creatively-focused time in photography but has interests that range from architecture and urban planning to health and wellness, to music and writing.
Erin Aluise, Curation co-chair
Erin Aluise is an artist from Columbus, Ohio. She lived in Phoenix and enjoyed working at the Tempe Center for the Arts before returning to her hometown. Large-scale fiber and outdoor sculpture are her preferred modes of expression. Many works take on organic shapes with vibrant colors and textures. Currently working with acrylic, charcoal, and performance in addition to her sculptural work. She is developing a database for artists and makers. Her hope is to create a usable interface that will help keep artists organized and become business conscious. Erin received her BFA in Sculpture from Ohio University and her Office Specialist Certification from CSCC.
cameron granger, curation
Cameron Granger is an award-winning filmmaker and video artist currently based in Columbus, Ohio. Born & raised in Cleveland, OH, Cameron grew up with his mother, Sandra, from whom he inherited an intense love of rap and soul music, and a dire desire to live in a Hype Williams video. His recent work revolves around notions of blackness as they relate to the 'American Dream', representation in film and media, and effects on one's self and community. Cameron is a founding member of MINT, a Columbus based art collective and project/gallery space and a 2017 resident artist at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture.
Alexia Winfield, Marketing Curation
A transformative creative leader, Alexia Winfield is the visionary behind the Columbus Book Project. Having been amazed by Columbus' love for fashion, design, art & cuisine she embarked on a two-year journey to capture and document a city entering its renaissance.
Patrick Katzenmeyer, Financial Vision
Patrick Katzenmeyer is Director of Development for the Pizzuti Companies. He also owns Market 65, a fast-casual restaurant on Capitol Square specializing in locally-sourced food. Previous roles include Emerging Brands Director for Print Syndicate, Shops Director at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Policy Director for Obama for America, Special Assistant on Economic Development for Ted Strickland, and public relations work at Paul Werth Associates. Patrick has a BA in Finance and Economics from Ohio University and an MBA from The Ohio State University with a focus on strategy.
Ryan Feeney, Curation
Ryan Feeney is an artist with a terminal degree in Studio Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His experiences span education, interior design, graphic design, cultural and art curation and project management. Ryan is the Student Agency Manager at Columbus College of Art & Design and is the founder of WoodenTooth Handmade.
